Ms. Guasch moved to the United States from the Philippines when she was 15 years old.  In the Philippines, she was student body president of her high school class and, upon moving to the United States, she continued her leadership path at Cupertino High School.

When not working, Ms. Guasch enjoys spending time with her family and in nature.  Ms. Guasch’s interests include fashion, health, and fitness.  She enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling.  Ms. Guasch is an animal lover and has rescued 10 dogs.

Education

Ms. Guasch attended De Anza Community College while balancing a full-time work schedule.  At De Anza, she was the chairperson of the Filipino Organization.  She frequented the dean’s list at De Anza and graduated cum laude.

Ms. Guasch graduated from the University of California Riverside, where she majored in Political Science.  Because of her academic excellence, she was selected for the Tau Sigma National Honor Society.  She was also vice president of the Kappa Alpha Pi Pre-Law Fraternity.

Ms. Guasch returned to the Bay Area to attend Santa Clara University School of Law.  While there, she studied abroad in the Netherlands and learned about international criminal courts.  She also studied in Geneva, Switzerland, and learned about the United Nations and various international organizations.  She also interned for a business law firm in Budapest.

In her final year of law school, Ms. Guasch was an Honors Moot Court competitor.  She represented Santa Clara University during the 2017 Regional Client Counseling Competition at Chapman University, where she advanced to the regional finals taking third place.

Ms. Guasch also worked with the Entrepreneurs Law Clinic and Consumer Law Clinic where she, inter alia, helped start-up companies and consumers with various legal filings and matters.  Ms. Guasch graduated from law school in 2017 and thereafter worked for YouTube as a Copyright Compliance associate.  Ms. Guasch was admitted to the California State Bar in May of 2018 and began her career in workers’ compensation in October of 2018.

Accomplishments

Ms. Guasch has experience managing her own caseload from referral to trial.  She has attended numerous hearings and trials at all WCABs throughout the Bay Area.  Ms. Guasch has strong writing and advocacy skills and has advanced one case to a Petition for Writ of Review.
