Mr. Ogawa was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  He attended Burlingame High School and University of California at Berkeley for undergraduate.

He enjoys spending time with his family and staying current with the latest television shows and movies. He also enjoys playing basketball and golf to stay active.

Education

Mr. Ogawa graduated from Berkeley in 2005 with a double major in Legal Studies and Molecular Cell Biology.  He then attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, specializing in intellectual property.  He earned membership with the Cardozo Journal of International and Comparative Law.

Experience

Mr. Ogawa gained law firm experience in New York City while in law school.  After passing the California Bar Exam in 2010, he worked as a civil litigator before becoming a workers’ compensation defense attorney.  He joined WLG in 2022 after working for a large, statewide workers’ compensation defense firm.

As a workers’ compensation defense attorney, Mr. Ogawa has successfully defended and resolved a variety of claims.  He has litigated before most of the district offices in Northern California and several ADR programs on behalf of municipalities.

Mr. Ogawa maintains productive working relationships across the Northern California workers’ compensation community.  He takes pride in his ability to deconstruct complex factual and legal issues into their most basic elements to achieve cost-effective solutions for his clients.
