Ms. Cinberg, born to Sri Lankan immigrants, is the first attorney in her family. She moved to England to complete her undergraduate studies before relocating to New York City to begin her professional career.
Her upbringing in Sri Lanka, where she witnessed income disparity and racial discrimination amidst a civil war, ignited her passion to pursue a career in law to create a positive impact on society. She attended law school part-time while working full-time as a property and casualty insurance broker in New York City, balancing late nights of study with demanding days in the office. When not at work, Ms. Cinberg enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and hiking. She has a love for long runs, fitness and good food.
Education
Ms. Cinberg graduated from The University of Sheffield, U.K., in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics, with honors. She obtained her Juris Doctor from The City University of New York School of Law in 2022.
During law school, Ms. Cinberg was a part of The City University of New York Law Review – a student-led publication focused on civil rights and public interest scholarship.
Experience
While working in the property and casualty insurance industry for nine years, Ms. Cinberg became well versed in insurance policy review and coverage disputes. After graduating law school, Ms. Cinberg worked with a nonprofit organization in Santa Clara County to provide legal support to low-income individuals to navigate custody disputes and landlord tenant conflicts. Following her admission to the California State Bar in 2023, she transitioned into workers’ compensation defense, a field that allows her to merge her experience in insurance with her passion for litigation. Ms. Cinberg joined Witkop Law Group in July 2025 to further sharpen her litigation skills, and bring her diverse perspective to case handling.
