Mr. Ontiveros was born and raised in the Bay Area. Prior to law school, he spent several years as a dedicated civil servant with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. That is where his passion for practicing law began.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, watching sports (even though he is a dedicated San Francisco Giants fan but married a Dodgers fan) and cooking.

Education

Mr. Ontiveros holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies with a minor in legal studies from San Jose State University, where he also became a certified mediator. He earned his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara School of Law in 2020.

Experience

Mr. Ontiveros began his professional career working as an associate attorney for a small private workers’ compensation defense firm in Santa Cruz. Thereafter, he spent the next two and a half years working as a defense attorney for State Compensation Insurance Fund representing both public and private entities. Mr. Ontiveros joined Witkop Law Group in June 2026.
